Delhi government launching DDA housing scheme

The dream of poor people living, in the capital will be fulfilled soon. The Delhi government has completed almost all the formalities for this. While the people belonging to the slum general category will be given flats for 1.42 lakh. And the scheduled caste people will have to pay only 30000 rupees. DDA housing scheme will be launched by the Delhi government.

The Kejriwal government has implemented the Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana, not the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, in Delhi. Under the scheme, people living in slums will have to pay 1.12 lakh rupees per flat and 30000 rupees for maintenance. That means a total of 1.42 lakh rupees will have to pay. While the scheduled caste people will get 1000 rupees in lieu of the flat and 30000 rupees for maintenance. That is, they have to pay a total of 31000 rupees for the flat.

DDA housing scheme

Around 35000 flats are ready. Among them, Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board, Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, and the DDA housing scheme have built 17000 flats. Out of these, the process of allocation of more than 12 thousand flats will start soon and applications will start in two months. There are about 675 slum clusters in Delhi, where about 20 lakh people live in 3.5 lakh slums. 99 on DUSIB land, 38 on municipal corporation land, 39 on another department land of Delhi government, 333 on DDA land. There are 8 slums and 150 slums on the ground of various departments of the central government. Board member Vipin rai said that if the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was implemented in Delhi, slum dwellers would get a subsidy of around 1 lakh for the flat and would have to pay the full amount of the flat, hence the Chief Minister housing scheme has been implemented.
